Thermo Spas began as a Connecticut hot tub manufacturer in 1983, inside a 30,000 square foot facility in Shelton, CT. Within three years, the company outgrew this location and in 1986 moved into a 60,000 square foot facility in Bethany, Connecticut. Thermo Spas began distributing hot tubs in the same way that all competitive spa manufacturers still do today, through retail establishments.
