September 23, 2011 - When looking for a group to do volunteer work, Daniel Radcliffe found that the only way he could volunteer abroad for ‘free’, was to commit himself to 12 months in a service like the Peace Corps. So he formed his own organization and called it International Volunteer HQ.
There was such a great need for high-quality volunteers to travel to distant countries to help people in need. The people wanted to help, but until now their means were limited. As volunteers learned about this new organization and the volunteer opportunities it presented, they flocked to sign up and give their time.
