You can have fun and grow up in a healthy and teaching environment: all that can be achieved at the GSD MontecatiniMurialdo football Club. This is the purpose of the Code of Ethics that the club of Montecatini (Tuscany, Italy) had in mind when the management took his first steps in creating a set of rules to be given to the children of its Youth teams. A set of rules that was then translated into a twelve-page document to be spread among all players, managers and staff of the Club in order to define the general behavior that all members of the association of Via Marruota must have. The document has touched on key aspects of social and sporting life and has been created paying particular attention to the youngest players. In addition to the introduction, in which the bianco-celeste club explains how it was born and what the goals are, the ethical code consists of rules based on the "fair play", the Decalogue of the young player, his rights and the rules for parents. On a side, the document has also included the charter of rights of the children and the duties of the adults, prepared by the FIGC (Italian Football Federation). The presentation of the "Code of Ethics of the Biancoceleste player" was held in the oratory of Murialdo and it was introduced by the chairman of the GSD MontecatiniMurialdo, Mr. Massimiliano Potenza, who in his speech  emphasized that the choice of the place where to introduce this document to the Press and all other sporting organizations was not a casual one: "We chose this location because the history of MontecatiniMurialdo was born right here twelve years ago. At the center of our thoughts are always our young players and thus we feel delegated to also give them some guidances for their lives. That is why we ​​decided to compile this code of ethics containing standards of conduct that all our affiliated should follow. For our football club this document will be a sort of Bible to inspire us".
At the official presentation of the ethical code, that has been distributed to all athletes of MontecatiniMurialdo and their parents, also spoke the Youth Politics and Education city councilor Ennio Rucco who stressed the social role of the association of Via Marruota taking place in the city: "I have had the opportunity to appreciate several times the work done by this Club which has the good habit of looking for a good relationship with the city and the local administration. The role of sport clubs is also an educational role and the coach is seen here as an educator between the Club and families. I believe this code can also lay the basic rules of a positive living together. This is an important document that can be used as a trailblazer for other initiatives".  At the presentation of the code of ethics was also Don Pietro Rota, pastor of Corpus Christi as well as local political and sport organisms representatives such as FIGC who praised the project carried out by MontecatiniMurialdo. "This is the first time in the province of Pistoia that it is implemented such a code of ethics and I think this is an important sign - said Stefano Riccomi, provincial delegate of the FIGC – and as a federation I also would like to invite other clubs to take inspiration from this document. I believe that in our area and in particular here at MontecatiniMurialdo football is still felt the right way".
